Hey there! I recently watched Disney's new live-action film, Aladdin. It's hard to believe that the original animated film came out 27 years ago! With the age difference, there comes a lot of change and new ideas. I thought the new film was pretty epic from the cast and set and costume production. I also had a lot of opinions, because it is such a beloved story. I hope you enjoy my review!

To get off my chest, there were some parts of the film that kinda threw me off. Jasmine's new original songs and the directing, especially in one of the beginning chase sequences, kinda pulled me out of the movie. The cast is great. The actor who played Aladdin embodied him perfectly. The other members of the cast don't exactly resemble the original characters, though. The movie is hilarious with Will Smith and Nasim Pedrad, Jasmine's handmaiden Dahalia. I also wanted to acknowledge the influence of some modern trends, specifically in the music and dancing. The original songs from the animated films are amazing of course. The costumes, set design, and cinematography are all phenomenal as well! Overall I thought the movie was pretty epic and gets a 7.5/ 10 from me. I hope you enjoyed my review for the new Aladdin movie. I can't wait to do more as I complete my summer movie list. See you next Tuesday!
