Welcome to today's post where I will be discussing how fashion from the late 20th century is making a comeback as seen at New York Fashion Week. Today's post will include many brands showing off styles from the 60's to 90's. If you know me, I love myself some retro trends.

Kate Spade New York: 60's-70's

To begin, I'm going to start with one of my favorite brands right now, Kate Spade New York. The brand isn’t new to retro styles or pretty patterns. Their entire show seemed to be inspired by the late 60's and 70's. Kate Spade showed their groovy side with scarves, floral designs, and go go boots. This outfit’s color scheme of pinks, browns, and yellows gives an earthy and relaxed tone. The low neck line of the over dress with the tie-neck is pretty. The subtley is balanced with the bold boots

Valentino: 70's

During the 1970's, long sleeve dresses became a staple, as well as denim, slip, peasant, and wrap dresses. This look just screams glitz and glamour. The pattern of the dress is vivid with it's variety of vibrant colors. The silhouette flows without being too heavy or too tight for the era. The rainbow of colors and design makes the outfit fit for a high-end disco or afterparty. The colors mesh well together.

Louis Vuitton: 80's

The 80's isn't completely my cup of tea, but I love this Louis Vuitton look that seems to have gotten some inspiration from the era. The majority of the outfit seems so simple and monochromatic with the exception of the psychedelic pants. The blouse's sleeves are over-sized to the right proportions and bring contrast to the fitted pants. The show includes many examples of 80's patterns here and there. I wouldn't usually go for the 80's, but I would gladly like to wear this particular piece.

Gucci:80's-90's

The end of the 80's moved into a different direction when the 90's hit. The power suit became the power skirt. This outfit from Gucci follows with a blazer and mini skirt. Gucci merges the two eras together giving us this outfit. The silhouette resembles the 90's. The era of the 90's brought people ditching the shoulder pads and crazy colors, but the 80's comes in with the bright pop of pink, in literally almost all aspects of the outfit. It's a strong feminine take on business.

I hope you enjoyed today's post. There were so many options from fashion week to pick from, and I had so much fun researching the different eras and the different styles that emerged from them. I hope to expand my range of clothing to delve deeper into the diverse eras and post more about retro clothing and such. Lots of love.
