Hey, there. This is my first post ever! Today is the Lunar New Year, so I thought it would be appropriate to share with you all the amazing things that I'm excited for this coming year.

MARCH

March is always an exciting month for me, because it's my birth month. I was born on March 26. This year I will get to see my favorite broadway show, Hamilton, on my 16th birthday with my theatre class. You have no idea how long I've been dreaming of seeing!

In the second week of March, I will be trying out for my high school's dance team. I was on the team from 7th-9th grade and had taken a break my sophomore year. I can't wait to get back to work and get ready for competitions and football season.

On March 24, I will be running a 5k which I haven't done in two years! I will be going up to New Orleans with some of my family to participate in the "Best Damn Race" (that's the name of the it).

As the spring and summer months approach, I will have many tests to study for and suitcases to pack. My family and I are hoping to head to Europe for the first time together. If we do, it will be my first time leaving the continent. I would love to be surrounded by new languages, cuisines, and fashions.

AUGUST

If only August could come faster! I had purchased a ticket to see Queen + Adam Lambert! Queen is my absolute favorite band, and I cannot wait to see them live in concert.

August also brings around a new school year where I will be a Junior, taking AP and dual credit classes. Yay!

FILMS

On the 24th of February, the Oscars will be taking place. This year I will be rooting for my favorite film: Bohemian Rhapsody. The entire cast is amazing and fingers crossed for Rami Malek for Best Leading Actor.

With a new year, comes new films. Marvel will be releasing three films this year: Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel, and Spiderman: Far From Home. Disney will be releasing Toy Story 4, Aladdin, and The Lion King. Other films I'm excited for are Rocketman starring Taron Egerton as Elton John, It: Chapter Two, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Men in Black: International. I might have missed a couple, but I just mentioned some of the highlights. If you couldn't tell, I love movies.

This first post wasn't too long, and of course, this doesn't outline everything that I'm doing this year. I just wanted to show a glimpse of why 2019 is going to be a fascinating year for me. I cannot wait to blog about everything that I just mentioned and even more things that come up unplanned. I wish all you a blessed and lucky new year.
