Lucy Boynton is one of my favorite people on the planet. She's an actress in films such as Bohemian Rhapsody and Sing Street. She is also dating her on-screen lover in Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek. Lucy seems to have everything in the world, including an amazing style. Everything is perfect, from her beautiful bobbed hair and bold makeup to her glamorous and decorative designer dresses. In today's post, I will break down her iconic hair and makeup looks by Jenny Cho and Jo Baker. I will also dive into her many amazing looks that are styled by Leith Clark. Here we go!

Hair and Makeup

As seen above Lucy has a range of different looks in her hairstyle and makeup. On her makeup artist's Instagram, Jo Baker often posts about the many unusual things that inspire these iconic and bold looks. Some of her inspirations include a snapper's fish tail (eye shadow shape), 50's housewife (eye shadow), the 80's and pink wafers (eye shadow), kitten eyes (winged eyes), gold hologram (holographic flash lines on eyes), cathedrals (eye shadow shape), chandeliers (sequin appliqués around the eyes), and British school railings (eyelashes). It is also noted that when Jo Baker gets inspired, you never expect which boundary she’s going to break. It’s safe to say that high risk leads to high rewards

Lucy Boynton is also the main reason that I cut my hair short. Believe it or not, Lucy hasn't even been rocking this look for too long. She actually has changed her hair quite often, but this one is my favorite. Her hairstylist, Jenny Cho, expands the range of styles that short hair can have. One goal of mine is the perfect the soft waves and textures that are achieved in some of these looks. Lucy's blunt bob has also been dyed a couple of times. She dyed it blue just for the Met Gala and changed it back shortly afterwards. Jenny Cho can easily manage old-school and retro looks on Lucy, as well as delicate up-dos.

Trends

When you study Lucy's outfits you can find lots of trends in there. Lucy loves a good print, especially floral--as seen above. You could describe her style as whimsical to the point of a child-like dream. These are the sort of clothes I dreamt of wearing as a kid, and I would happily wear them now. Another trend, as you can see in the next photo, are ruffles and bows. Lucy is bold in her choices and is far from boring or normal. Her style just pulls me in with her perfect, wonderful fantasy style.

These outfits were seen at red carpets, awards shows, and fashion events/ shows. The photo exhibits some of the extravagance of her clothes with sequins, layers, appliqués, and feathers. (L to R)

1. Lucy wears a Gucci gown, dripping in sequins. She wore this to an Oscars after-party after Bohemian Rhapsody brought home four Oscars, the most of the night. According to her makeup artist, Jo Baker, she only had five minutes to change Lucy up and add some silver and glitter shadow to her eyes while her hair still kept up after all those hours.

2. Lucy wears a Givenchy gown which is in gold sequins. She wore this to the Golden Globes where Bohemian Rhapsody had won Best Motion Picture Drama.

3. (above) Lucy wore a Rodarte dress to a Rodarte fashion show. It is so Lucy's style with the lace, puffy sleeves, flowers, and ruffles.

4.(below) At the Santa Barbra Film Festival, Lucy really showed out in this extravagant Gucci gown with an embroidery of a dragon on the chest and of course some velvet bows. I really love the contrast of the bright pink and red makeup with this look. And I may or may have not tried to attempt this look before.

5. This has to be one of my favorite looks. It is the most recent, coming from this year's Met Gala. I would die to have this dress, but it is of course a Prada custom. She even dyed her hair blue just for the gala. Talk about commitment. She also wore some Harry Winston jewels and had sequins star-bursting from her eyes.

6.This is also one of my favorite looks. Lucy wears Erdem at the SAG Awards. Under is this floral-printed dress with the transparent polka dotted fabric, which has it's own beautiful silhouette, going up her neck and arms and into a elegant train.

Well, that's the end of today's post. I loved looking up and researching Lucy Boynton's dresses, makeup, and hair. I'm hoping to do another post on her style as time goes on, as well on other celebrities. I hope you enjoy her fantastic style as much as I do! I've been playing around with the new colored title headings on Wix and some photo editing/ collaging apps. I hope to see you next week in another wonderful post. Bye!
